Does anyone here study psychology at all? My friend's gf is taking that stuff and we were just talking about masturbation and she said she thinks that the reason I do it so much is because I heard that thing about how God kills a kitten every time you fap and that I have some deep rooted passive aggressive desire to hurt small animals.
She's full of ***right?

My poor sweetest darling. ;;
Gross, read at your own risk, and thank you in advance for letting me use you as a worry-wort diary. On Thursday, my husband and I had Dairy Queen for dinner. I got spicy chicken strips and a small Snickers blizzard, but after eating all three chicken strips I was too full to finish the fries or blizzard. I ate about half the blizzard, threw everything else away. My husband and I stepped out for about 15, maybe 20 minutes.
While we were out, my baby girl beagle Pixel got into the trash. We have the trash inside a cupboard, but she can open the cupboard. We set a suitcase against the cupboard door, which kept her out safely for weeks because she couldn't figure out how to move the suitcase. Well, in those 15-20 minutes, she figured it out, pulled the trash out, ate an entire basket of fries with honey mustard sauce and half a Snickers blizzard. She threw up twice Thursday night.
Friday, all seemed well. She ate, played, and ran around the house like normal, no vomiting. My husband left for the weekend, his little brother has joined the Army (so proud of him!) and he will be leaving for basic training on the 30th. I wanted my husband to see his brother again before he left, I sent him to his parents' house (~8 hours away) for the weekend while I stayed home and watched the dogs.
Saturday, all seemed well. She ate, played, and ran around the house like normal, no vomiting... until about an hour after her dinner. At roughly 8pm, she started throwing up, and she threw up over 9 times between 8pm and 12am. Some of those she forced by eating grass, but not all. Some of them were white or yellow foam, not all. Some were dry heaves, not all. I got her to bed around midnight and she was up three more times between midnight and 1am being sick. I got her into the bathroom all three times so it was on a hard floor, easy to clean, and I held and petted her while she was sick so she'd know she wasn't in trouble. Finally at around 1am she stopped throwing up and went to sleep, but she was shivering in her sleep so hard that the bed was shaking. I set her between my knees to help keep her warm and covered her with a blanket. She stopped shivering and slept through the night until about 7:30 this morning.
I fed her a little less than half her normal breakfast and lots of water. She went outside and did both potties (I was actually kind of surprised, I didn't think she had anything left in her stomach.) Now she only wants to sleep, she's curled up in the chair behind me napping.
I wanted to ask my neighbors for a ride to the closest vet last night, but since she didn't start showing signs of illness until after 8pm (and it didn't seem serious until well after then-- one or two throw-ups isn't a concern, it wasn't until about the third or fourth one that I started getting worried) there were no vet clinics open. My husband will be home with the car in a couple hours so we can get her to a vet then. It makes me so nervous when my darlings are sick, because they are young and healthy but there are always things that can go wrong, things I can't fix. And I know she doesn't understand why she is sick, what if she thinks she's somehow being punished for something? She's also dumb (I love her to pieces but it's true, she has no common sense) and I know she'd eat just about anything. I swear if I left a dish rag full of chemicals on the floor she'd eat it. There's nothing in the house that she ate (besides Dairy Queen) so what if she went outside and ate something that just isn't fixable? I wouldn't even be able to guess what that something would be, we keep the yard basically clean but with as windy as it's been lately anything light-ish weight could have blown in.
I keep wanting to blame the DQ trash but since that was a couple days ago I just don't know that it's the culprit. ;; What do. Cannot stand watching my babies suffer! My brother's dog Ava used to eat everything too, no common sense, and one day she ate something that ate her back and she died. It worries me for Pixel. At least she is currently napping comfortably, and her breakfast seems to be staying down ok. As long as she's resting and holding down food maybe I shouldn't yet panic.

It's not really that god killed a kitten, it's just you fap so furiously, you don't even realize the bloodshed of your poor pet, skewed all over the walls.
And @ Liels: It was probably the snickers blizzard. I do believe dogs don't do well with chocolate based products. I hope everything gets better though!

:( i'm sure everything will be ok, I won't say I understand how animal digestion works, but maybe it just took the long time for everything bad to process through and make him sick, unless it was a poisonous snake or something, or something poison.

Liela, I'm sad to hear about this problem with your dog, but I guess I'm curious as to how much chocolate was in that blizzard. Dogs are pretty much unaffected by small amounts of chocolate, so if it was only a few pieces of snickers, she should be okay. So it might hint at something else. I'm not a vet by any means so I have no answer for you for sure, but if I were to guess, I'd say she might have something else wrong with her.

If it were a snake, it probably would have been Dante who got bit. He is the one who likes to disturb the local wildlife. But there are no bite marks on her, no outward markings at all. Perhaps a tick bite, I know ticks can wreak havoc and that would be too small for me to see. She doesn't have access to anything poisonous in the yard, unless something did blow in, but I was mopping the floors yesterday with Pine-Sol. She doesn't seem to like the smell and usually stays on the carpets when I mop, but maybe she decided to give the floors a lick and see if it tastes as bad as it smells this time. :-(
She does seem to be ok now, it's been over an hour since she ate and she's holding it down and doesn't seem to be hurting. Just tired.

It was mostly vanilla, small chunks of chocolate, caramel, and nuts mixed in. She crawled up onto my desk last year and ate an entire bag of chocolate chip cookies, didn't throw up once. But different chocolates might affect her in different ways. Or maybe she's allergic to nuts. :o

Isn't chocolate like poison to dogs? Yeah, but in small doses it won't do a lot of harm. It also depends on the type of chocolate, as different types have different percentages of the poisonous chemical. White chocolate has a very little amount while baking chocolate allegedly has the most, which doesn't make sense at all because I'd figure dark chocolate would have the most. For instance, I had a Shih Tzu eat an entire bag of York peppermint patties, to which I was pissed about because I love York peppermint patties. Also, she didn't get sick or anything. But again, it really depends on the size and age of the dog, the amount of chocolate and the amount of the active chemical in the chocolate. From what I've read, it also goes hand in hand with seizures, rapid pulse and excessive panting.

O.O YOU CAN HEAR MY MUSIC?!?!?!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
