I'm one of those weird guys who don't get turned on by animated girls.
In general do you prefer realism over fantasy? If you had to pick between a normal movie vs an animated movie both equally as good what would you choose?
I don't think it's weird at all, everyone has different tastes about everything in existence. I just love the colors and the imagination of writers and artists, it's very enjoyable for me to jump in the mind of someone else's imagination and and be taken on a ride. I love reading, but an animated movie/show is just as equally enjoyable for me. Sitting down and watching a great love story can't get any better for me.
That's a tough question. I actually like anime. And when it comes to live action movies, I actually prefer plots involving something that could never happen over something that could possibly happen. I suppose either one, as long as the story is good.
Reading is by far the best, though. Reading takes me longer than the average person because as I read, I form the entire image in my head and pretty much "watch" my book.

My only gripe with most anime is the unnecessary attention given to boobs and panties. High School of the Dead was a good example. Great premise. Good story and lots of action. And some attention to the physical relationships of certain characters was necessary due to the plot. But there were a lot of ridiculous angles and scenes just to focus on boobs and panties.
I don't know, I suppose I prefer a bit of realism even in anime and live action fantasy just because people seem to get so wrapped up in the unrealistic aspects and expectations that they set. Guys finding animated girls attractive is normal. Guys preferring them over real girls is not.
