 I liked the main story. Haven't got all the extras from the missions yet. Bits I do have are pretty straightforward so far, though.

There were actually a series of short stories written as a prequal to the game as well.

LMAO at the water pistol XD If you have the patience and intent to track down all the analects, they give an insight into the bigger picture concerning the origins and history of the Fal'cie and the events that shaped the future in which you play. They are actually very interesting, it's kind of like finding artifacts and learning about ancient myths and gods.
