Mono is one speaker. Are you only getting sound from one side?
no but the audio sounds really flattish.
The bass is good.
I'm still derping around with them, probably something I need to physically change.
I've also noticed my volume control has dissapeared :|

depends on if you know what you are doing vs not... if you *** up with building it yourself you're going to end up paying for that mistake vs if someone else *** up ... it's their fault and they have to foot the bill.
When I rebuild my PC i'm getting a trusted friend to do it for me, he's obvipously going to charge me to do it but he is cheap as hell.

Prebuilt desktops (though customized) are worth it if you have no clue at all as to what you are doing and don't have anyone to do it for you for free or super cheap.
Otherwise, build-your-own is the way to go.
