Was lying in bed around 4-5am this morning trying to get to sleep when I started to hear something knocking on my window (no trees or anything nearby, so not branches; 2nd floor with nowhere to stand so probably not a person).
I immediately remembered a creepypasta about a guy that heard a knocking at his window one night and looked outside to see some freaky monster person staring at him, and when he saw it it started smiling, and this would happen every night for weeks. Eventually he decides to not look at the monster, and the knocking gets worse and worse until the guy thinks it's going to break the window, and then it just stops.
And he hears his back door opening downstairs.
And then the sounds of footsteps coming up the stairs.
And they stop outside his door.
He looks up and sees the monster standing there, smiling at him again. And then this keeps happening instead of the knocking.
So I'm lying there, bed right under the window, listening to this knocking, remembering this creepypasta, and I finally work up the courage to look out the window because, hey, knowing it's watching me is still better than having it be inside the house, right?
So I look out the window.
It's the neighbour's cat, waving his tail back and forth hitting the window.
I have no idea how the little *** got up there, because that'd be a hell of a jump to make.
