Hardly but i'm not gonna argue XI vs. XIV two very different games makes it a pointless argument.
XIV is honestly very enjoyable now compared to what it was on Release/Beta, and the new Judge fight that just came out is amazingly fun, feels like oldschool CoP challenging content when beating CoP was difficult.

I was just reading up on the Van Darnus (or w/e his name is.. The White Raven) fight. It looks fun as hell.

I had the same issue for a while then started doing stuff with a very awesome group of people~ I'll play for sure once 2.0 comes out but the ***is still boring atm. I logged on yesterday (my account is still active) and did some random thing where you are on a beach and you run in a circle killing different mobs and then theres a tree boss. Was so boring for me... It just feels so clunky and hard to even see wtf is going on during the battles, just very unfun for me. I've done a lot of the things in the game and it just bores me very much.
I respect the fact that you actually play Draylo, and not just mindlessly bash on it like a lot of folks do. I happened to like doing that skirmish you described, but there is literally no incentive that I know of to do that event. All of the Giantsgall weapons you get from it, can be sold on retainers :(

I think the 2nd new job come 2.0 hasn't been announced yet, now that I think about it. It COULD be some kind of blu. Not sure how likely it is for 14, but it certain is possible. Tons of FF games have "monster skill" type jobs/characters.
