I'm always warm though so if I don't turn it to cold right before I get out I just start sweating again lol. Even in the winter I usually sleep with the window cracked.

I fixed it

Today for the first time I'm looking at the world through a pair of glasses, everything looks so... clear. I had no idea I was living in a slightly blurry world.

I need glasses. :( They are very sexy on other people.

i have glasses, my eyes are shitty so i can't see anything but shapeless colorful blobs without them.

I have glasses. :-( They look cute on some people, but I can never think they are sexy. Just the sheer amount of annoyance that they involve sees to that! For example:

Can't lay my head on my husband's chest watching a movie. Glasses are in the way.

Can't see other people in a swimming pool. Can't wear glasses in the pool/lake/river.

Can't go tubing or do other fun water sports unless I either leave my glasses at home or spend the entire time worried about them. (Also can't go on roller coasters and that sort of thing without holding my glasses to my face so they don't fly off.)

If I go outside when it's cold, the glasses will fog over when I come inside, which looks stupid and makes me temporarily blinded.

If I go outside in the rain or snow, I can't see because of wet, smeared lenses.

I understand that lots of people associate glasses with being attractive because it makes some people look geeky (which is cute) or intelligent (which is sexy.) But honest to god, if I won the lottery, the first thing I'd do after paying off all my husband's and my student loans is get my eyes fixed. They are the biggest pain in the butt!

Edit: Oh, and 3D movies are horrifically uncomfortable and forget scuba diving. *sob*

I hate wearing glasses :| my eyesight is ***.

To me doctor said to wear them when it's dark and I'm tired and I want to read or stay at pc...which looking back doesn't really make sense and I wasted my money..cause if it's night and I'm tired I don't read/play games..I sleep.

Do what my brother did... hit your eye off a pole so that when it heals your vision has improved!

I heard a rather gross story about contacts!

You know how if you accidentally fall asleep with them on the lens can actually go behind the eye and it can be a pain to get them out again. This lady went to a doctors and she had looooads of them behind hers!

I don't want to believe that the story is true.

That doesn't sound true.. then again there is a show on called "I didn't know I was pregnant" so who knows.

I would never use lens...the sole idea of touching the eyes creeps me out.

I wish I could do contacts but the ones I would need would cost a good bit of money lol.


Last time I tried to get them I think he said like 700 bucks.

I did, and I loved them! I had contacts for about six years or so. Then when I was a sophomore in college, my eyes started acting really funny. Fuzzy all the time, even with contacts in, and really painful. So I went to the optometrist and got them looked at again, and he said that my eyes were no longer reacting well to my contacts. One of my eyes had fogged over with protein (I forget the technical name for it, but little strands of protein were just sitting on top of my iris) which was making my vision fuzzy, and I had somehow given my eyes lacerations with the contacts (which was why they were so painful.) I had to go on steroid eye drops for about a week to clear it all up.

Afterwards, the dr. said I could wear contacts again if I wanted to, I'd just had a bad reaction to those particular ones. But by then I was freaked out. There's just nothing like lacerations on your eyeballs to freak you out, right! So I refused to wear them again, even though I technically can.

They would make my life easier, for sure. But dang, I'm terrified of them!
