As much as I would like Italy to win, I don't think they will beat Spain.

I think they will if they play like that, Balotelli is such a strong force for any defense to deal with and Italy were playing with the fluency and class to match Spain from what I saw of the last part of tonights game. They made a very strong German side look distinctly amateur tonight.

Also, WTF Balotelli is only 21!? I thought he was in his 30's!!!

As far as the game Italy was strong on the counter and played heavy defense, I highly doubt that plan will work against Spain though since Spain is a very defensive and harass heavy team.

Also again I say I find watching Spain play so incredibly boring. I'm not trying to take away from their talent though, they may be one of the greatest teams as a whole every constructed over an 8 year span, but I can only watch Spain pass the ball so much. I'm more of a fan of how Germany, Portugal and Holland play. Hell for that matter I loved how Italy played that game. I suppose that's why I can't really be mad at the loss because they played wonderfully and it was enjoyable to watch(aside from the few dives and Mario being himself...that being said he scored two great goals, he's just such a tool).

Back from watching the disaster. The weakness revealed once again. Defence. Since we try to play attractive football the quality of the defense went down the hill along with the 'luck'.

Personally I prefer an ugly 2nd place (like 2002) with lot of heart and fighting spirit than this frustrating 3rd/4th place.

ALso i have quite an aggression towards france now. while he was not primaly at fault for the loss there were a lot of mistakes by the referee-team. At first they sucked for both teams, later he made more mistakes against the German. Interrupting HQ chances, got fooled by falling players like after the 2:1.
