Ugh, Skyrim is pissing me off. Mages two shot me effortlessly and I can't get close enough to club their face in :/

Even with my 10% resist magic ring they two shot me more or less instantly :/ I know 10% isn't much but it's still ridiculous how bad it is. It seems like our "base" resistance was completely erased so magic does severe damage regardless now.
