In Italy we use numbers.
1st: flat 2nd: small 3rd: medium 4th: big 5th: very big 6th: giant 7th: you have a problem there... Actually wouldn't the letter scale be best if you look at it in a school type fashion(for you at least).

But there's many variables, I've seen Bs that look large for their letter, and Ds that look relatively small for the given letter too.
