so while driving to work today my tires were like this

then randomly the front passenger side tire decided it wanted to be a beautiful snowflake and then my tires were like this

i was really lucky though. i skidded directly into the turn lane where there was no left turn, which was fortunate since i couldn't push the car. got an overpriced tow and hopefully it wont cost too much to fix the damage. i usually drive really fast and down some crazy back roads. the fact that it happened on a straight stretch of road, in town, and while going 35mph. soooo lucky.

Reminds me of the time when I was driving back from a car wash parents used to work at. The van we were driving in, the front right tire came off and we basically grinded to a halt after about 100ft c.c;; Pretty crazy. Tow truck went every which way to find us....but the right way...until the end u.u Going to check the right tire of every car we own now, something seems fishy...

Depending on what kinda car it is, I'd start bracing for the estimate.. Prices for repairs would vary wildly, but it could get pretty expensive, it could also be ridiculously cheap..
Something like that happened to my Grandpa's truck, but it was the back tire... We didn't have to pay a cent though, it was cuz some idiot at Sears who changed the tires didn't actually torque the bolts down, I guess he forgot. Damage was quite a bit worse than it normally would have been, because it was my Grandpa's work truck that he used in his lawn care business, which had a custom built iron ramp system welded to the tailgate.. i'm thinking it's gonna be somewhere between 400-600 with parts and labor AS LONG AS nothing got *** up when i skidded to a stop. the lights in the car were being all weird and the windows sounded funny. it could of just been because i was sitting with my blinkers on and the car off for like 45 mins.
i ended up being out in the cold for 2 hours. one cop stopped, cracked his window half way and gave me a thumbs up. i told him i had a tow truck on the way and he asked if i was ok. i told him i was just a little shaken up, but ok. he pulled forward 15 feet and ran my *** tags and drove off. glad to see the concern in you cracking your window and checking to see if i had a warrant. i hate cops.
