Yeah, I've had to deal with clinical depression for years now, and really it's not fun, especially when mixed with social anxiety. But, I have gone down the pill route, and although it does make you feel better, it's all artificial. If you depend on the medication, then if it's ever taken away the depression will return twice-fold. For instance, when I lost my insurance, there too went my dependence on the drug, and had to deal with the depression itself. Luckily, there are other ways to handle depression, and it's not slaps. That only makes the depressed person recoil further and make them feel worthless. They're not trying to get your pity, they're generally unhappy. That's like torching someone who's already on fire.
I think I've digressed from my point here, which is that if you're depressed, you will find a way out naturally. It may take days, weeks, months, years to do it, but it's possible without medication. But, as usual, the right choice isn't the easiest one to make.
