Been playing Fallout New Vegas a lot and I like it, gonna give 3 a try after I'm done. Haven't had many issues with glitches though, a few crashes and a couple graphical glitches when using a scope but nothing big.

As I said a few days ago, Fallout 3 is disappointing compared to New Vegas. Less than half the available weapons, no iron sights, areas seem somehow more depressing, best thing it had going for it was the radio stations in my opinion.
I wonder if there would be legal ramifications for me taking When Jeuno Fell and rewriting it to not be so heavily XI focused, then selling it as an ebook.

I only use a riot shotgun and my sniper/anti-material rifle anyway :/ Both rifles have scopes so it's not a big deal >.>

Thing that bugs me most is that it relies very heavily on the five races, gigases, but most of all revolves around the Soulflayer. How could I possibly make my own version of a Soulflayer? O_O

Don't need to make your own version. SE's iteration is in itself a renaming of a Dungeons and Dragons monster, the Illithid, or Mindflayer.

Is it really? I enjoyed Fallout 3 quite a bit. I haven't finished it, but that's only because it was the timeframe that my desktop was overheating. I got tired of losing progress.

You're looking at my reply like it's a negative thing. I'm not saying Fallout 3 was bad. Only that New Vegas was better in pretty much every way. And it is.
I wish there were more enemies to kill in New Vegas though :/ More Fiends/Legionaries/Powder Gangers/Great Khans that roam around, feels a bit deserted at times (no pun intended lol).

In apperence they are similar but lore wise FFXI soulflayers and D&D Illithid/mindflayers are very different.
If you have mages that gain their power by absorbing the souls of monsters, then turn into octopus headed creatures with powerful magic when their bodies can't handle the strain anymore and are called soulflayers... then it be an issue if it is surrounded by other things taken from the game lore. As long as the world setting and what not are different though it shouldn't be an issue, maybe switch up the apperence and name some as well ie a more human like apperence but still with tenticle mouth and hands.
