Silent Hill F was 100% made by a development team from Hong Kong, and most of its developers are from China. It's little different than Wukong, and I liked Wukong but I liked it because it was honest about what it was and wasn't a Japanese skinsuit.
This is where you are wrong.
Neobard's HQ is set in Hong Kong because it's easier for them to get international business from that location, but it's just a business address. Majority of the SHf developers are from Taiwan.
Also just a little history here: During WWII Taiwan was a Japanese territory. People of Taiwan actually fought the US/China alliance
as Japanese citizens, and died for Japan on the battlefield.
Even today Japanese culture influence in Taiwan is huge. Almost everyone from 2 generations ago spoke fluent Japanese, some even has Japanese name. You see Japanese architecture like Tatami or Torii in Taiwan frequently. All of those shows strong cultural and history connections between them.
In fact, most "real" Chinese often call people living in Taiwan "descendants of Japanese" precisely because strong Japanese culture influence in Taiwan.
Saying that developers aren't influenced by Japanese culture at all, is definitely false. People in Taiwan is, IMO, one of the most Japanese-like non-Japanese demographic in the world. Saying all those Japanese stuff in games are just fake skins is just silly.
Nobody Japanese even worked on it Silent Hill F.
This is also wrong. The writer/composer/producer/Creature designer are Japanese. You don't even do research before making this ridiculous statement.
Maybe next time try to care about the topic that you want to discuss a little more before you made silly statements.
The reason Konami did it, is cause they were cheaper and they are cheaper because Japan has stronger labor laws.
Japan doesn't have stronger labor laws than Taiwan, nor they have that much higher salary. Stop spreading misinformation.
