At least you have a choice between to different parties, and when the leader steps down for some reason you know who will take over.

In the UK both parties are near exactly the same, and if the leader steps down they party can elect popo the clown if they want and there is nothing the population can do about it.

The Libs and the NDP are for all intents and purposes the same party. That said, the Cons are also the same party as them just the other wing of it. In other words our Cons are just Progressives driving the speed limit. Pierre is a better option but it really is like being forced to eat diarrhea but maybe it's on a plate or directly in your mouth.

Thats really all it boils down to, whos the best option of whats available.

It probably wont even matter anyways. Whenever election time rolls around, after they delay it because "economy emergency due to Trump" (another "conspiracy theory") they're just going to do the exact same thing they've done in Romania, France, Germany, etc, the same thing they did to Ruby Dhalla and Chandra Arya...they'll just find some reason to disqualify the election or form a supermajority coalition and give themselves the win by default.

But your parliamentary system means that every now and then a third, fourth, and even a fifth party is needed for a coalition government. This insures that occasionally new ideas are introduced into your government. You at least have hopes that the new ideas are better ideas and they might even get adopted.

A colleague was injuried while practing krav maga.

That colleague had some kidney problem, and was punched right there. He got very bad after that.

Generally krav maga teaches techniques to self protection in street fights.

But damn... if youre even considering you will end up in a situation where you gonna engage physically against someone else, there are only 2 things that you need for that moment:

1. Run fast. Obviously the very best option is running away as fast as you can.
2. But if you cant ran away... then you better have a gun instead of relying on punches. At least there is a chance the other side give up when they see the weapon.

But worst thing case is that the other person also have a gun, when, in that situation, you wouldnt be in a worst situation if you only had melee attacks available.

So I can see a single situation where punching the other would actually improve your chances of getting away unscathed
