I'd rather it be an opt out. If the harassment allegation are true, I'd like non-account people coming here because they are interested in FFXI Private Server, to get the warning that might help avoid the harassments.

People who are here often and don't want to see it can then opt out.

The issue isn't private servers as such, they have existed for a long time and nobody really cared. The issue was Horizon promoted the server heavily to retail players everywhere they could, in order to try tempt players away for their own gain.

This obviously annoyed people.

If they had stayed in their own lane like was the norm before that, there would be very little hatred for them. I personally think Kipling was behind most of that.

Hate seems to be the name of the game. For a healthy mindset, it’s probably wise to avoid FFXI altogether. I don’t let it bother me when people dislike me.

Will we ever return to people just growing a thicker skin because they had to handle the little things when young, to prepare them for handling the real ***as an adult?

These folk are complaining about not being treated properly on a free service that is maintained and provided for by strangers...what expectations is one truly entitled to in that arrangement? Someone's a belligerent *** on the bus to me, I'm not starting a class action lawsuit against the Metro Transportation Department...I'm putting in my earbuds and ignoring the idiot.

I chat with friends about this all the time - I think folks might be too far gone and we need a hard reset somehow lol. Seems like every discomfort today is a 'trauma' to carried around and used as a way to avoid any personal responsibility. Maybe it's just because I was taught very early on 'life's not fair, so what? figure it out', but I fear for some folks who are walking through life feeling their a victim and crumbling at each bit of discomfort they run into.

(My statement has nothing to do with the PS convo, just an observation on the general state of peoples)

When I first moved here I was starting high school and we got sent home early because the grass had a dusting of snow on it, I was confused then and have never stopped being bewildered by the terror such miniscule specs of snow can cause to the locals.

FFXI is still a PVE MMO so it was supposed to be the care bear world right? Same for FFXIV even though it has its own PVP separately. Doubt? Read this. You can see it literally mentions FFXI.
