Stocks are just speculations based on the heat of the moment.

I never get people using this as some sort of validation. Those fluctuations are there so some bots can get some fast money like a videogame.

Nvidia should've went bankrupt when they announced regular two thousand dollar gpus. That shits insanity.

Before mentioning the $200 it'll add to your electric bill monthly.

(Yes, they've made titan cards, and special edition cards that cost "much" more than standard cards, I know)

I honestly never get the hype of those people in buying graphic cards.

I can understand people waiting very long lines to get first a brand new game console because this is something most average people would use, but graphic cards? Are that many tech people that will readily open their PC/notebooks and replace the graphic card like its just a USB thing?

I honestly dont get this much. For me, graphic card is something I buy with my notebook/PC, and thats it till its end of life. It never crossed my mind buying a standalone graphic card as I never messed with computer internals.

Talking about hardware, my logitech controller is finally in its last leg.

The right stick not get stucked in a non-neutral position, and the dpad left is failing on touch.

Luckly I had a new logitech ready to replace it.

You mean your graphics card usually lasts the entire life span of your PC/Notebook or do you declare your PC/Notebook end of life once the graphics card goes haywire?

Neither actually.

I usually gets bothered by some slow down in performance, then I decide to give the current notebook to family and buy a new one.

My mother used one of my notebook I handed to her, and she was using it for the last 1 or 2 years, even if it was already a decade old.

She just dropped it when I actually bought a low tier spec notebook for her work, then she moved the decade old notebook to work, and uses the new one for daily tasks.

I am not sure why the market behaves this way to them, a nice open source model means I can run this thing off line at my own house... which means I need to buy some new gpus... which means nvidia will make more money sooooo why should their value drop?

I mean I guess some number of nerds buying their own set ups is smaller potatoes to a massive company being all in on buying gpus.

Assuming I keep going up at the rate I currently am, alright that's not a horrible outlook. Hopefully this country and this retirement system is still in place in 30 years.

That's definitely not going to happen lol. Just like you won't be "allowed" to retire until 90, by then.

Every 5 years they push it back 5 years.

Because Nvidia and Nvidia supply chains stock price has been overvalued in 2024, the price reflected projected growth for next many years. So the market need a "push" to correct itself to where the price belongs.

This panic is a good reason for correction.

Inside trading politicians are mad? Cute. RA you aren't familiar with how this game is played isn't it?

This news is from 6 days ago.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nancy-pelosi-sells-nvidia-apple-213013443.html

Quote:
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has executed a series of significant technology stock trades valued at over $30 million, according to recent congressional disclosure reports.

On the same day, she sold 10,000 shares of NVIDIA Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) worth between $1 million and $5 million.

This article popped after stock price drop:

https://www.newsweek.com/nancy-pelosi-sells-nvidia-stock-weeks-before-price-drop-costs-tech-stock-billions-2021725

Quote:
Recent financial disclosures have reignited the conversation about stock trading by lawmakers, particularly surrounding former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's public disclosures regarding Nvidia stock transactions

Pelosi's ability to outperform the market has made her a focal point for many investors looking to emulate her success. Her and her husband's trading activity is closely monitored by retail investors and platforms like Autopilot and Unusual Whales, which allow users to replicate investment strategies.

Also, news from 4 months ago:

Quote:
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is done selling the chipmaker’s stock for the time being, cashing in more than $700 million under a prearranged plan.

Smart people already walked away with profit when they should, because they know when to run.

(In fact, you don't even need to be that smart, just buy when Nancy Pelosi buys, sell when Nancy Pelosi sells, profit.)

Don't buy Nvidia graphic cards, buy their stocks. Problem solved ;)

Many stock trading community seems to be on a movement to buy more Nvidia stock atm, since it's cheap now. Who buys 5090 anyways? It's a waste of money imo.

Also....the government of the US is partially responsible on increased cost on those high end chip products. They wanted to move advance process semiconductor industry to the US, and we all know it'll just increase the price because operation cost in the US is higher than in Asia.

And now Trump is saying he wants more tariff on semiconductor industry. Can't blame Nvidia for that really.

I was just trying to explain why those chips are expensive from the production perspective. Can't help if politicians are somehow involved in the whole process.......=.=

If those politicians stop getting involved in business operations in the world, then it'll be easier to talk about business without touching on politics lol.
