Yeah, nobody even wants to talk about retail XI anymore because it's been corrupted, gone, and is basically a thing of the past. Should I just poke fun at those who are hoping for a remake or expansion? Or getting mad at people having fun on free private servers?

Are you trying to annoy people? You talk a lot of smack about XI but you're always around it. You obviously are not finding XIV fulfilling enough cause you keep sniffing around XI.

I haven't been playing XIV since Dawntrail came out. I just needed a long break from MMO anyway.

That video has around 500 comments, so why should those 500 opinions really count for anything?

The only reason I don't currently play retail is because I have an addictive personality and tend to let real life fall apart as a result of over investing my time in retail. The itch to make a Prime has been killing me, but I need to focus on real life.

FFXIV is less intensive. I don't feel compelled to play in the same way the FFXI pulls me. FFXIV I log in and do roulettes and log out. It's much more casual. FFXI you have to monitor server economies and all sorts of nonsense.

This story is some FFXI dark confession material ;0. How come those stories weren't mentioned in that thread! ;(

I don't know what Zehira's problem is, but I hope they get it checked out. Carrying around that weight must be exhausting. I once had to carry a heavy bag on the train and boy was it annoying.

XI and XIV are merged products at this point, all profits and player numbers are pooled and classified as XIV on investor reports.

Draylo has a high level character on XIV, he can complain about it if he wants and him doing so does not require you to come bash XI in retaliation and annoy other people.

In reality you probably agree with him, since you barely even play XIV anyway. Lots of XIV players are very upset about the current state of XIV and they should complain cause that's the only way it's going to change.

The big problem with Yoshida right now isn't XIV taking money and time away from XI, the problem is him wanting to keep making single player games that flop and that is taking money and time away from both mmorpgs. FF16 was a flop, the PC version was a bigger flop, Fantasian was an omega flop and on and on. All he is doing is burning money on rubbish, cause he can't just concentrate on what the division was made for and instead is taking both mmorpgs subscribers for granted to fund other things.

Why is Fantasian Yoshida's fault lol. It's a Sakaguchi game made by his company Mistwalker, not a Yoshida game. Why should Yoshida be responsible for Fantasian?

Also every year we get countless vocal people spamming "we need Sakaguchi for FF" "Lost Odyssey is the real FF" over and over, when Sakaguchi really made a game to please those Sakaguchi fans it's a "flop" duh.

Needy people is needy. SE could have choose to ignore those fan's request and never publish this Fantasian port you know? But they did for fans anyways. You are just looking for any reason to ***on SE at this point.

Sakaguchi made a mobile game called Fantasian, and Yoshida paid him to allow his division to make/help port it to pc/console and sell it for an obscenely high price to farm the love people have for his name.

It sold about 10 copies, complete waste of money and time they could have spent on 14/11.

Being paranoid and older, I never even thought about voice chat.

When I was playing one of my male mules no one ever asked me if I was a real guy ... Many women play male characters, I do understand the appeal.

Monk is fun, but it starts off stupid weak and the ascendancies are meh. Once you get Tempest Flurry and a few other skills, it opens up a fair bit. Tbf too, I think the lack of decent drops early in the game is part of the reason I had problems, I didn't see a single quarterstaff drop until late in Act 2, everything I had was from the NPC. Once I got to Act 3, I had a really good staff and gear started to improve, it got easier. I don't think I struggled on a single boss in Cruel, I rolled over that Viper *** in one try and most of the other bosses also.

I managed to get a legendary helmet that converts a bunch of elemental damage types to other damage types, lightening now builds freeze for instance and I just run around freezing everything. Charged Staff does it at a distance. My staff has 3 damage types so it feeds into all of the status effects on the helmet. It's nuts.

I'm way too squishy though...Apparently the next update is gonna make a bunch of changes including the ability to replace runes, so we'll see how that works out and hopefully I can get some more resilience.

I'm not saying he plays it now, I'm saying he used to play it and obviously enjoyed it at one point.

Yeah they did it for fans alright, you can tell by the massive price for a poorly ported mobile game that flopped. Yoshida and Sakguchi were doing interviews everywhere before release thinking it was gonna be a thing, now nobody has said a world about it like it didn't even release at all.

POE2 trading is so *** cool

I have such a *** blast just shopping in this game.

Also, the Asians in POE2 are some of the nicest people on the planet while English names seem to be the rudest but man it's straight-up rewarding reaching out to people to trade. Blows my mind that game devs always have a problem now with their communities when they really should be focusing on the rewarding aspects of it all

honestly if I could have paid monthly to use ffxi wikipedia ad free back then I would have been in heaven updating and keeping ***up to date. But the ads drove me insane

lol all the videos just come up on my feed. I don't know if its because I looked up the FF11 raid or what, but it just seems like every day theres a video from some disgruntled XIV player, stating literally everything I've said negatively about the game since ARR. It just amazes me how they are all suddenly awakening to how horrible it is in almost all aspects lol. The same things people were criticizing me for saying, are now being made into videos with 10k+ views. It's just a "random thought" because they are all opinions, but clearly its in a downward trend given the communites issues with that expansion.

I did play on and off, only because its a FF game. I wanted to experience the story but I found the missions to be such a slog that I stopped playing. The same repetitive "click 3 glowing dots and go back to NPC" was repeated over and over, the same fake character sacrifices over and over. I honestly never understood how people couldn't see it, and apparently now they are. The horrible jump rope end game and having to memorize 15~30m videos on the content, the way the jobs have no uniqueness and are all just reskins.

I hope it fails and they start on a new MMO so I can evily wring my hands at 14 players going thru what 11 did as they get every resource stripped from them as the company focuses on the new toy.

I was on board until this part, just don't get wanting 14 to fail and taking pleasure out of someone's unhappiness (not sure what to call it here). Maybe you weren't being literal, and if so I apologize. Would you all (not just Draylo) even play a new SE MMO knowing their history from 11 and 14, if you believe they will always use it to fund other projects?

I prefer 11 over 14 any day, but I won't pretend I didn't get many hours of enjoyment out of 14 over the years and certainly don't wish them ill will if they truly are struggling and fans are displeased.

I haven’t gotten enough orbs to trade. I ran the loot beetle a bunch while it was a thing but I’ve been unlucky with orbs

He has been saying it for years, so yes he is being literal. Must be disappointing to see how its still going full steam ahead. It could easily last another 10-20 years.
