Can I just take a second to point out how dumb that scene is in the original movie? They have a passcode system in place to identify when a friendly ship has been hijacked, refreshing the code periodically specifically to ensure hijackers couldn't fool the system.
"It's an older code, sir. But it checks out."
Like, why would they even put that in the movie? They could have ignored that altogether and not missed a thing. They're adding to the lore (the Empire is a tightly-run, well-oiled machine, how will our heroes overcome this??) and then immediately defeats itself (guy just ignores his one job, so our heroes automatically succeed). You can definitely tell Jedi is where Lucas started having more control over the writing.
You're divorced from the rest of the context of the scene. The scene starts with Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie, and the droids in the shuttle approaching The Super Star Destroyer, and Luke says, "Vader is on that ship... I'm endangering the mission!"
And then it cuts to Vader walking briskly towards Piett, where he inquires about the Shuttle and its cargo. Piett asks, "Shuttle Tydirium, what is your cargo and intended destination?" - "The Forest Moon of Endor. Supplies for the base" or whatever Hans response was.
Then Vader asks, "Do they have a code?" - "It's an older code, sir, I was about to clear them. Well?"
Vader pauses, "No, I will deal with them myself."
"As you wish, my lord."
This, THIS is the confirmation that Vader suspects they are not imperials, but is allowing them through the shield anyway, so that he can take Luke to The Emperor.
They know and it was Vader's will. There is nothing wrong with the scene, within its full context.

I missed the last swing trading opportunity when it went from 4674 JPY to 6614 JPY last time, hated myself for 2 months due to missed opportunity until my AI hardware stocks made even more money in March.
Let's see if another opportunity opens up from bots this time....
I need all y'all to like storm Bahamut, make a big social LS, and roast me in LS chat 100% of the time.
Someone told me a few weeks ago that the LS I was in had died last year... I guess they announced it in their Discord. I tossed the pearl for an inventory slot, as no one had been on in it in a while.
Since then it's just been the few people in the LS MrHappy started last November that are still stubbornly clinging around. That's my LS2. I was trying to help a guy named Dibonde with the final TVR mission, and we got pretty close to duoing it during the buffed Trust campaign, but now I ain't seen him in like a week.
I check the Concierges daily, but most LS are listed as Japanese, even though I'm on Bahamut. Last English pearl I saw, I took. I put it on. Nobody home Q,Q;
I only made 503 JP last week, and this week idk if I'm gonna even get that many. Motivation super low. 3223 JP to turn in still. I'm 90k TNL Master Level 30. My brain keeps gravitating towards Locus Ghost Crabs, even though I'm pretty sure Hounds are still better per hour. I can kill a hound in 3 to 4 Savage Blades. A Locus Ghost Crab needs like 6~8 WS with SCs, which is more fun but still does take longer. And that's after the preliminary Full Break to keep Scissor Guard from cockblocking me, since Koru-Moru doesn't dispel it? Course I have to watch some bloke bot like 5+ dudes across the cliff side there, whereas I'm usually alone and unbothered at hounds.
I gave Apex Empty mobs a go, since they're a few levels higher than hounds. They've got more evasion though. Not too bad, but a little slower than hounds and the annoying problem of Sylvie going into Precision when I macro WS gear rears its ugly head again.
Making my own Riverfin Soup. Gonna be excited if I ever HQ one. Still need to take a few days and get those cooking KIs, but the Oboro grind feels all consuming.
Also an oddity at Mireu yesterday morning. Vyre got 100 +100, but suddenly went from 600 DI Points to 890? What's that all about.
Last i played i was in a shell that routinely had to ask people to drop mules because of people limits, but even still, most of time it was super quiet.
Most “action” used to happen when newcomers used to return from hiatus, and had to ask a lot to catch up.
But normally those fade away quite fast. I think 2 months is the most “active” people can stay, leaving the same old multiboxing guy that really dont bother with LS at all
Introduce chat bots in every LS so that it will always be generating conversations, and we can live blindly believing we are integrated with society, when the reality is that is all an illusion and we are simply talking to algorithms

Can we also let AI control our PUG member too, and API for scripting pt member decision making should be available for the pt lead.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
