So uh, about that Blue Beetle.
It's too long, too slow to start (every origin story...) but not boring. It would've worked better 15 years ago. It's hard to get into a comic origin movie this late in the game. We've done the clumsy goofy learning to superpower thing to death and it shows.
No ***cgi, or excessive ***explodes, or trashy car chases or too much hoe in the female lead. It's just eh.
I did not know that the Watchmen "Nite Owl" was inspired by the Blue Beetle, the underground lair and the transport immediately felt easter eggy like the watchmen, I did dig that.
