Sometimes being a Canadian is hard. I'm writing stuff for my RPG, and it keeps underlining words like "armor" as wrong because I've chosen to use the British English dictionary. When I click on it, it offers me to change to "armour" or swap my dictionary over to the American English dictionary, for which "armor" would be correct. But if I do that, suddenly half of my other words are wrong, like "metre".
We're in this weird limbo situation where half of our words are spelled using one dictionary, and the other half are spelled using the other. And Google Docs doesn't offer me a compromise >_>;
I walked a thousand meters to get my armor that was refurbished to bring out it's color while I was on vacation from college.
Designs remind me somewhat of the Orbital Frames from Zone of the Enders. Especially with those glowing circuitry lines.
Really looking forward to this.
I just love doing the car insurance shuffle every year.
Every company on earth calls you with a better deal than the last, but literally zero of them can tell you why the exact same *** plan can vary by hundreds of dollars. Such a scam.
the new playstation plus ***is almost as bad as that leak had it out to be, jesus lmao. nearly $20/mo and it doesn't include newer games
It's just merging PS+ and PS Now, which is a scam. I plan on keeping the same tier I have now, the basic one. Game Pass is still better, but Sony doesn't need Game Pass.
3090ti is a *** joke too, really lending credence to the Lovelace leaks what a sad day to be a gamer.
$2000 msrp
450w TGP w/ spikes up to 510w
8% performance improvement on average over the 3090 for a 33% increase in price and ~20% increase in power consumption.
Adds a whole new tier to the "flex on plebs" GPU category, but sets a scary preview at what design sensibilities nvidia may have cut out for next gen.
4090 being a $1800~2200 msrp card with a 600w TGP is no longer outside of the realm of possibility. Seems nvidia truly is ready to embrace the new order of pricing and throw power efficiency out the window in exchange for numbers on a graph. AMD will have to follow suit (if they didn't already have something similar in the works, which RDNA3 may already be) to stay competitive.
You're just watching that freemarket in action. If the morons will buy it we HAVE to sell it. If the morons will pay more then we have to charge more. and have to keep pushing until all wallets are empty. It's non-negotiable.
Also; "budget" pc is around a grand. Budgdeeznuts.
only good part about the 3090ti is that it has shown that nvidia has mastered the art of GPU cooling. A 500w behemoth with stacks of almost 1 terabyte per second VRAM staying below 65C under load on air.

my 3090 turned from a "I have the money, I'm going to treat myself even though it isn't worth the performance per dollar" purchase into "wow, I actually got a ridiculous deal on this compared to people paying $1500 for a 3070" basically overnight. we really do have mostly the consumers to thank for this one.

Well, a lot of that has to do with the fact that a GPU literally prints money. I mean, if you can spend the 1500 and 100% make the entire amount back with an ROI of like a month with mining, you would be stupid not to buy it.
There are very few things on earth that you can be 100% certain you will MAKE money with by obtaining.
Even during the peak of ETH mining it was a 3-4 month proposition to pay off a $1500 3070 but mining did definitely put a softener on the price for some people. When ETH was worth around $20/day it would have taken me about a month and a half to pay off the 3090 with its own labor factoring in the cost of electricity.
Most didn't realize, of course, that mining on these cards without modifying them was killing them rapidly as well but hey.
Away on a trip and apparently it was so windy the last few day in NYC that my window bursted open for two days with turbulent wind. 1,000 dollar worth of statue broken until I had someone close it. Gotta love it

Ah, that's where I live, NYC..and yeah it's been freezing here, I hate the cold >_< That is crazy that it broke a statue omg.

Some people just wanna run Crysis as it was intended

Broke a few of them :( i had them on the window area and it flung open and was blowing strong winds over two days and pushed them off. Doesnt help im right by the water. The worst part of collecting... now I'm dreading walking back and seeing the damage and how i can repair it or how much to replace.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
