Just to play devil's advocate (because I really just don't care) in recent years the character of Lola has actually acquired an identity. At least from an appearance standpoint, this Lola more closely resembles that (I don't know about personality-wise). Plus, it's kind of annoying and distracting. People were up in arms about the cutscene camera in Mass Effect 2 actually showing the faces of the characters talking rather than constantly zooming in on Miranda's ***. I'm sure part of it is because it's "offensive", but for the most part it just breaks immersion.
