I had to look up what a swamp cooler is.

Reminded me of this episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion I watched a few nights ago. This line stuck with me.



Yeah. Trying to catch up on any old anime I missed out on that I would always see mentioned. Have Neon Genesis Evangelion on deck now. Full Metal Alchemist after.

Everything old is new to me so I have that goin' for me which is kind of nice.

Anyone watched Ninja Scroll (movie not the series)? I could watch that ***on repeat.

That's me almost every day. I might have escaped my awful manager at that other job, but I still have to put up with MiTek's spaghetti-code software.

Sometimes I think about starting a Twitch channel or something where I live stream my rage. "Why the *** did you cut there? THERE ISN'T EVEN A LINE TO CUT TO! These developers are monkeys- all of them!"

That just took me to a website called "Freehugs' Onlyfans page - gallery/18+/free_preview", but I didn't know what that meant so I clicked away.

I spent hours trying to find the best TPB "drunk as *** tonight, boys", and I couldnt decide so here's this.

Have any of you joined a job and it was awesome? And then 6 months in they changed your role completely without telling you and it was terrible?

Well, its not uncommon situations when the boss youre fond of changes for another one you can barely stand.

I had a symphathetic boss that always relied and trusted on me and my work. That was pretty motivating at that time.

Then the next one was just weak (from my perspective) in technique, leadership and possibly even personally. And despite not adding anything to the department work, he still wanted to remind about the hierarchy there.

No wonder Ive finally decided to move on to another department few months after working with him. Unfortunelly pandemic happened and delayed my plans for an extra year, but I managed to change back in march for an IT department, whats being awesome to me so far, despite not having any free weekend or holiday since. My boss doesnt seems that great human being but seems wise enough to not bother others too much in their works.

But I expect him to move back to the main company later in the year so...

I wish I got into IT. It beats my people facing job that I have now.

Its a quite challenging area but also pretty much rewarding because its complexity means not everyone can do it.

And a few years before I thought that work structure wouldnt change that dramatically in such short time but the technological development in this decade is astonishing. Its effects is already impacting definitivelly the society with the reduction of jobs in agriculture and industry, resulting in too much competition for services job in city. Also, that much information so readily available made pretty hard to survive to anyone below the mediocre lv in terms of quality, management, tecnology, etc.

But IT kinda stands above all that. Its a safe place that instead diminishing, its needs gonna be increasing a lot given every company gonna need someone that can follow along the changes and implement solutions in a daily base.

Its a great area, I will surely tell my young sister, when she starts picking an university, to choose some IT related graduation to at least get herself a safe job.

Yup. A couple times.
