I just want to get a copy of the LTSB, but would need an enterprise license to get it legally.
That's the build I want to use on my network, I wonder if I could get a "test" license, idk.

They're strict with LTSC for good reason: mandatory updates are annoying, but for the bulk of users, the security updates alone save Microsoft a mountain of support and PR headaches. Anything to keep everyone on as close to the same build as possible only helps them.
It'd be nice if they made it easier to strip out features you don't want or need, though (lookin at you, Cortana)

Oh I totally understand why, even if I fully disagree with it.
As somebody who spent hours trying to get settings to stay the same across users only to be defeated by the "online account" feature *** to get in my way, I shake my fist at them. If I win I'm torn between that and the Icebrand, well I want to see what Fast Blade II does.
The current ffxi installation aplication deserve some praise how it evolved.
Now you just install once the game, dont need to wait five times to get all expansion installed in order. Also, the first update, the normally 8h long, now seems to be reduced to just 1h. Finally, i think they already install a directx solution, as i didnt had to hit the legacy option to enable directplay. Good job SE. Dang, now to recover all chars macro, ashitacast profiles, addons/plugins used...
Finally got the last two in the set, time to put them all together. I hope they do trance versions.
