I failed college in that I didn't mingle and make connections (aka probably the only use of college), I participated in job fairs but was too shy... Not sure how things are in the v.world now... but I'd suggest mingling with your accounting teachers, join accounting honor societies, it did honestly impress the firm I applied to... But I'm not sure if she's interested in public accounting?
