Had a buddy in college who once a year at least would get on the tour bus on a Saturday morning we were all hungover and go "guys! Did you hear Bob Barker died?"

Yeah. To be fair they never actually wanted the attention and do their best to manage their image in a pretty unobtrusive fashion while still remaining relevant. Making the best of a situation rather than actively seeking attention and notoriety.
