So all week I've been struggling trying to come up with the best possible lessons to get my students ready for their huge exam on Monday. I've been working up a storm and going to a thousand other meetings while fulfilling other professional requirements.
Today while I was getting ready to go home after a very long week and preparing to grade a ***ton of papers and late work, a girl walked up to me and asked me why her grade hasn't changed. I asked her what she turned in and she told me she had some rinky dinky assignment that she turned in late. I asked her when and she replied with two days ago.
I almost *** lost it. Because I didn't grade one of her
late assignments two days ago, she's mad at me and demands to see a better grade. I had another kid hand me his
late essay in the middle of me teaching a class and asked me if I could grade it that second. I was teaching a class.
***. I like my job, but at the end of a semester, these kids turn into nightmares. I know they care about their grades, but I'm only one man with only so many hours in a day.
