Learning about the "Justice" system, I discovered a case in my area where someone assaulted 2 people. They were given two charges, the same charge for each person they assaulted with a punishment of nine years probation. The interesting thing is that the two assault charges and punishments didn't mean he faced 18 years of punishment, instead they determined that this person could carry out the separate charge punishments simultaneously.
The fact that this person happened to be a State Trooper I am sure had nothing to do with the court's decision.
Can I please apply this type of logic to my work week? "Well yes, I need to work five 8-hour days, OR I could just work Monday and do the other 4 days worth of time simultaneously!"
