That's like a niche in a niche in a niche here. There have been very few comic stores here in this town, and none of them stay open for long. There's 1 store now (2nd & Charles) but they deal with everything, not just comics.

Yes, Meglivornth. Aanja and I were both in there for quite awhile. Don't remember if it was before or after the merge into Bismarck, but we were both on Seraph originally.

Yeah, it was on Seraph. Mirny and I joined BTL a couple months before Seraph went down and until they gave us the dual pearl ability, we weren't on a whole lot after that. Though it was nice knowing the shell still got some occasional use by folks looking for someone to just chill from time to time.

Haven't logged on it about five months now myself though.

Which is weird to quantify that number. I wonder if this is what people in AA feel like when they've been taking it a day at a time and milestones are hit?

I also remember us applying to BtL awhile back, but that's when Lunarians got us in. In hindsight, that was the biggest mistake we ever made in FFXI lolz.

We haven't been on FFXI in about 2 months now, too busy with house renovation to game each night. We're almost finished though, so that will most likely change. Though I dunno what we'd do. Our problem is we have no direction. We log on and Aanja's like "What are we doin'?" And I have to come up with something to do. Having a decent linkshell who actually helped with stuff, or one with set events that we could actually make would help in that area.

Well, Mirny's obviously my wife so I've got a bead on her.

Hunnt is...um, well, there was a bit of a falling out there that if you want to really know specifics you can PM me. Bottom line is that we (that is, my wife and I) have Hunnt the character and we had a falling out with the original typist of the character (which had nothing to do with FFXI or us having the character in the grand scheme).

Dread lurks about these forums and may see this if he pops in. We PM from time to time.

Val's a papa now so that's probably most of his time right there. I have him on FB but I never see him post much.

Dunno about Ardon. I thought I had him on FB but he was also pretty quiet, maybe he just ditched me because I can't find him on my list now, or maybe I never added him like I thought I did.

I think to do that and be successful you would have to have an online store people can order from and have stuff shipped. Otherwise like you said, your foot traffic is probably not going to be enough to be successful these days.

Sadly, as much as I love things like Amazon -- or more specialized sites like ThinkGeek -- they've sort of done a real number to brick-and-mortar nerd stores. Which is both a blessing and a curse, all things considered.
