Anyway...if the problem is how to motivate your employees my dad is some sort of guru of this ***. He holds conferences abuot this stuff all the time.

And while I don't know all the techniques he uses the core things the employee needs is
1. teaching
2. support
3. trust(with expectations)
4. feedback
So you explain the job accurately. Be with them the first time they do it(if possible). Then give em (reasonable)objectives. When the period you gave for said objectives is closed you explain to them what part they got right and what didn't and tell them your new expectations for the next time.

Bonus: if they have suggestions listen to them. If it's a bad one explain why that isn't the direction you want to take the work. If it's good show them appreciation and encourage them.

OR use Dark Souls advice.

1. Amazing chest ahead.

2. Try tongue, but hole.

Not at all, you just refuse to accept that your personal bias doesn't reflect upon an entire generation WHICH INCLUDES YOU!

Your problem isn't millenials. Whether it's the area, the store or just you I couldn't tell you.

Everytime someone compares rape with something that isn't rape or has nothing to do with rape, it makes the term more mainstream and gives it a less severe impact. It's a slap in the face to those people who actually have been raped. These people should be euthanized....so should rapists.

What if we just really like to use the word rape and feel rapees should find their own word if this one upsets them!

Your problem isn't millenials. Whether it's the area, the store or just you I couldn't tell you.
Call these people whatever you want to call them, they are ages 15~45 and they are awful. No work ethic, no joy, only anger and constant talk of discouragement, no one encourages them self's or anyone else to do better. Everyone constantly proclaims "I *** hate my life" or "I hate this job" and when asked to do something they act as if it is a punishment to be asked to preform a task.
There is literally no one at my job at the moment that does not do these things. Even my boss does this.
So please tell me if you have anything constructive to say other than calling me a bigot or whatever to the same effect.

And for the record I don't call these people at work by any label like "millennials" or "useless sack of uselessness" etc... I give them nothing but respect while they ***in my face and I just grin and bear it.

I'll call them lazy, and their ages are irrelevant, as you so very well pointed out, but congrats on adding a third generation in your wide accusations.

I was being constructive, you just are putting out the wrong complaint with how you phrased it. My advice? Get a different job, as apparently you don't fit in at your current one.

Older generations worked harder and had more to loose and less to fall back on than younger generations have. This is a simple fact. Go a head and be offended, it's still true.

I'm one of the only ones who actually fits in at my job and is actually productive to or beyond the set standards, to say that I don't fit in is laughable. There is one new hire, an older lady, who is doing very well and already exceeds all the other employees minus myself and the owner (but that is only because me and the owner are already trained). She has only been working for us for 3 days now and is more capable and doing better than people who have been there for months/years. there is an actual standard that is required to meet productivity requirements so that money can actually be made within the business. That standard is actually pretty low and if one cant reach that low standard then they are a horrible employee with no work ethic at all. It's that simple. It's not a put down. It's a fact.

Anyways, Jetackuu, there is no point in me arguing with you over my being derogatory or not being derogatory, you will perceive me through your own minds filter regardless how what I say. Just think that over a bit.
