I just got a letter from my ISP in the mail. All it had in it was a 100 prepaid Visa. Read all the stuff it came with and am so confused. It's not a credit or debit card, yet it has associated fees like a maintence fee, also why the heck would they just give me this. If it's purely a prepaid visa like it says, why would it or even HOW would it charge me a fee.

They started installing google fiber at my apartment complex this week and it's just straight up better. I think it's like 125 MBps from google for the same price as like...50 from them. I read over the thing to see if the card required me to stay with the company or something, because I want to switch to google anyways. Didn't see ***. Thinking back about the phone thing, I think my sister actually had to sign something to get a payback and I think it was about her unlimited data plan. She's had unlimited data grandfathered in and AT&T has tried to get her to move to a tiered plan for years. If google fiber was available here, I'd get it too. It'd take more than $100 gift card to sway that idea, lol.

A lot of gift cards have the same features, of removing part of the balance as a maintenance fee, until it's depleted.
