if there was a windows based phone for like windows 7 or 10 that was comparable/as small and reliable as Iphone 6 I'd definitely jump over in a heartbeat.

They don't seem to want to compete that passionately though sadly.
Simple fact is that they don't have too.

Androids are cheaper and easier to maintain. And have led more of that market than apple products.
They only dominate so much purely because of iPhone cost more money. Aka pay for the brand.

I was working in Little Rock for awhile and the hotel was awesome, kitchenettes and whatnot, but the WiFi was absolutely terrible. I ended up using an Ethernet cable and hooking up to the wall.
