I'm heading to bed! I want to know how the movie is though, Slip. It looked like it might be good.
Don't count on me.. I'm a fan of B-movies, as such where others feel a full scale Hollywood movie is ***, I enjoy it.. I even liked The Happening.. Which is pretty much unanimously hated.
The Happening was an excellent concept, just poorly executed past the climax of the film.
But I still enjoyed it regardless of how much people hated it.
I can agree with the poorly executed part, it could have been much better.. However, it really doesn't deserve the hate it gets.. I suspect much of the hate it gets is because of the way it has a tendency to drag on.. I don't need constant action to keep me interested, but there needs to be at least some good back story or something to fill it's place.. No one wants to go watch a movie and spend minutes at a time just watching people walk or engage in mindless/pointless banter.. If you're developing characters, or explaining the circumstances, that's okay..
Also, good luck with your cat.. Hope it's him and not just false hope.. If it his him, shower him in love and treats so he never wants to leave again.
Colombiana is probably going to be one of those movies that really draw out the first 3/4 of the movie, then try to shove in and compact an ending in 1/4 of the movie.. I've got 20 mins left on it, and just damn.. At the point I'm at now, it feels about halfway through, not through entertainment or lost track of time, just, movies don't feel right when a large portion is spent in this way.. I can say now with pretty much certainty there's no way to end the movie where it's at, in 20 damned minutes. Not without leaving a lot to be desired...
So far it's still a decent movie, I just think when it came to editing, they edited out the entirely wrong parts.
Just like I thought, last 20 minutes don't justify the first 80.. Ending is just crammed in there.. Overall decent movie.. But I suspect many will hate it.

I'm really hoping they will keep me at least 1 night at the hospital, just kind of makes sense since I have the MD and all.
that and I'm sure if I'm there I would be given good pain meds :p
hopefully they should because its just common sense
Well I mean GB surgery is outpatient normally and they normally just send you home after a few hours after but I would just feel safer at the hospital lol.
