Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

Just discovered a super cool game soon to be (Re?)released. Anyone else heard of Gravity Rush? It looks pretty fun, and looks like a weird hybrid between something like Bayonetta and NieR. If this is a re-master, why haven't I heard of the original before? O.o
I already have the flag planned whaddya think!!
If I can hop on my laptop later maybe I'll play with photoshop to try to show you!!
I'm expecting elegant symmetry :)

How did you like it? Was this originally only released in Japan? Then again, Vita titles are rather few and far between so it's not too surprising it flew under my radar; though I'm very excited to see this get a re-release for the PS4!

Nah, it was definitely released here. I remember talk about it a little bit after I graduated high school so... 2011 maybe 2012 depending how good my memory is?
It was an early Vita game, so it was out when everyone was still rather skeptical about getting it do to price and the extremely tiny list of games.

I always find myself discovering and appreciating things a handful of years beyond their initial release or prime of attention.
It feels a lot like having an oddly specific error, googling it, only to find someone had the same issue 4-5 years ago, and the thread closed due to age and with no resolution :/

I wonder if a USB controller would work for my emulator apps if I used an adapter and plugged it into my smartphone via micro-USB...
Probably just easier to use a bluetooth one instead, even if they're total battery drainers.

When I bought my Vita (early 2013), there weren't many good, original, and Vita-exclusive titles. Gravity Rush was one such game, and it was free for PS+ subscribers. Too bad for some reason I got bored of it really quick during the tutorial stage lol.
I heard the re-release would feel like a totally new experience, so I'll see if I want to get that.

Got a used monitor off a friend (the one on the right) for about 1/2 the price of a used one on newegg.
Only frowny face I have about it is how dim it makes my other monitor look (already at max brightness).

Does anyone else look at gfycat link names and think of .hack? Yes! God damn area words. Logging out of the game to check forums for new words after every little story event just in case something new popped up. @_@

I only halfassedly heard things about 144Hz being a little funky if you have games that refuse to play along with it. I just remember someone in a video complaining about a game looking like dogbarf because of it, although maybe it had something to do with their hardware?

Yeah, i'll have to ask him about that. I too have heard things going wonky when your monitor attempts to display more frames than what is willing or able to be pushed out from the software/GPU. Maybe I should just play it safe and get a GSync monitor so things scale smoothly.

I think you'd need a new standard of input cables. If I recall correctly, the best one currently is displayport, which can only go up to 60Hz @4k right now, but improvements are on the way which I think can push that up to 8k, so it wouldn't surprise me if within the next 2-3 years we can see capacities of 4k running 60FPS consistently.

Was surprised after 10 posts no one used the obvious names, so I had to.
