So, after literally two months living in an empty house and sleeping on the floor, there finally seems to be a light at the end of this tunnel. The company that moved us cross country that have been holding my household goods hostage since 23 June have finally set a delivery date! And it only took a lawsuit and an insurance claim to make it happen...
While I certainly don't like being kept away from my stuff (I own $300k worth of gaming implements), something has to be said of the lack of human decency in all this. School starts soon, and my girls don't have any of there stuff. What kind of monster makes little girls live in empty homes for months at a time?
As much as I'd love to vent and plaster the company's name and pertinent FMCSA info all over here to get a campaign going against them will of your help, I'd imagine there is some forum rule against that kind of thing.
A week later and nothing... Unleashing the lawyer on them felt like that sweet release you feel from
Finally... We have our stuff back this past Friday and spent all weekend going through it it all and setting up the house. The catch? Literally, only 2 pieces of furniture survived the move. On top of that, a bunch of other things were broken and missing. My little one is quite pissed that her copy of Mario Kart 8 got hijacked. We are amending the lawsuit to claim replacement value for all that broken and stolen as well as punitive damages.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
