Popular sure doesn't mean right.
I personally like to archive my collections and since storage is so cheap I don't see the point in keeping both.
It's not that difficult to do yourself. All you need are some ice cream cones, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings, like pepperoni and mushrooms. Just make sure you put the cheese on top so that it melts and locks everything down, otherwise it'll be messy.

There are times when lossy format are interesting. Particularly with older portable players. Ogg-vorbis is a free format and that alone makes it a pretty good choice.
My oldest player has long since been shot, never been an apple fan, and if something runs rockbox it will do flac anyway.
What do you find "interesting" about it?
