Had to look on the PSN and nope, none of the .Hack games were on there.
I did look at my games and yes, I do still have .Hack/Infection but, my PS2 has seen better days and my original PS2 has a bad DVD drive.
Might just hack the system and put the game on a HD and just run it off of that. I can't believe some places are still asking for $60 for the system.
The loader is getting better and better with time... As we discover quirks (and coding bugs on the games) we fix the behavior.
For example there's a Japanese Macross game from SEGA which hangs because a harddrive is so much faster than the PS2 original optical drive. While using the HDD loader program, the worker thread which does the loading stuff finishes early and the GUI thread is not ready yet to display the memory card dialog screen. Bang. Black screen. Because the worker thread calls the DVD drive with a locking command, the time it takes to finish the loading task does matter.
That also seems to be the reason why Kingdom Hearts2 crashed at the gummi ship when used with HDD loader programs.
So yes, sometimes fast is bad... lol
