I used to do that torrent thing, got to the point though that I would find something I like, but by the time it got done downloading... kinda didn't want to play it.

These days though if I like it I buy it. I went through the whole "Yarrr! Pirate! Freeeee!' phase like 6 years ago. If you want tv shows, download from the user eztv or ettv on kickass (kickass.to which is now kat.cr)

Torrents aren't exactly a "grey" area, more like a "dark grey" area.
Very limited legality, but mainly used for theft/piracy. Discussion here could flag this website by the FBI.
