*sister messages me*
"Need a ride around town rq if you're free."
*gets up, having just gotten ready to sleep*
"Sure, give me a few minutes."
*get back into "outdoor mode", 2 minutes from sister's place*
"Never mind, I don't need the ride..."
Get there, come to find her deadbeat baby daddy was having a fit again and so she took pity on him and let him give them a ride...
It's not the fact I was stopped from sleeping, or the fact that I was so close to arriving before she told me this. It's the fact that she can let that man still pretend that he's a father after he literally said to my niece "I guess I'm not your father anymore because your mother doesn't love me."
I don't care that he has problems because he's *** up to the point that my sister has no feelings for him. That's simply something that happens, relationships fail. But to act like a child who is unwilling to accept rejection and then proceed to hold a child over someone's head thinking that'll make things better... Then telling that child "I guess since she doesn't love me I can't care about you."
... You can sure guess how much I wish I could take a knife to the man's throat.
...
I'm going back to my corner.
