This is going to sound weird... but eating 3,000 calories a day is *** hard. I don't want to eat just junk food with super high calories, which means I am just eating all the time. Seriously, just had 2 big *** scoops of oatmeal and a protein shake in 12 ounces of milk. Only 650 calories and I feel like I ate too much. You can do the lazy man's diet: Don't exercise and eat out often.
I will have to admit, the whole end of FFXI thing is bringing the lurkers out to play.

 Everyone's body handles bulking differently. Don't aim for 3k right at the start (and it's not a magic number 2800 works too.) increase your kcal intake by like 200 a week from where you are comfortable. Keep your proteins high but don't saturate your meals with it. Space it out over the day.

If you wanted your work day to go by faster and could only cast on yourself, would you want to use Haste or Slow?
At first I thought Haste, obviously right? Wouldn't that just make me faster, and ultimately make it feel like time was moving slower? I am not sure...I don't think my level is high enough to try either one. :/ But I think you might get more mileage out of either Barsleep or Refresh, honestly. :p Alternatively, Invisible might help you get through your work day, but Smite of Rage sounds mighty tempting, also--especially for those who get in the way of your weekend. ^^
