Oh, I got a male Protean Froakie last night. Could mate it with Ditto to make a Female Protean. Would be nice to have a Shiny Protean Greninja, they look awesome.

know what move confuses me? sky drop. why is that even in the game
also there's loads of froakies cause people toss all of their not-perfect IV ones on there when they're breeding them i'll be making a protean geninja soon :D

Basically, whatever move you use, the pokemon with that ability, becomes the same type as the move used.
