Confirmed: The VIP Spath is actually just random food items.

He lives in the wasteland of Iowa because his biggest fear is that someone will discover his hidden base and devour him.

Okay, I need a vote; which one of these two is more aesthetically pleasing to your eyes?

or
#2 imo. #1 reminds me of those movies about the future where everyone is on behavior modification drugs to obtain an ideal society and everyone is a germ freak. #2 looks more like a gadget that is nice to look at.

Heh, yeah, the R5 is very minimalistic but very functional and good for noise isolation, but leaves a bit to be desired in the sexy department. The 760T though is quite a piece of work. Only thing I don't like about it is that stupid stealth drive bay cover.

Enrage timers never made sense to me. What is the enemy thinking exactly? "Oh GOD I'm bored... Time to kill these fools so I can take a nap."

If they are just toying with you, choosing to end your life after you fail to entertain them any longer, then why is it when they are about to be defeated that they don't use their full potential? Why die toying with some humans, when you could increase your attack speed, physical damage, magic damage, etc, by 2-3 times?

Silly monsters.

Explain to me how Miqo'te/Mithra ears function given their attachment to a humanoid skull.

I think Rage timers where initially made so that, when struggling against a monster, you don't just widdle it away and fight it forever, just chipping it's damage away, or using a cheap tactic, where fights get prolonged in a stalemate.

off-course, this could have evolved into something more.

I remember long time ago, linkshell fought Kirin.
Fight took hours, barely recovering... fight took too long that Kirin actually ran out of MP.

Consider it a warm up period. They forgot to stretch before the fight.

They're trying to find the right aether channel to tap into for their strength boost.

Or, the enrage timer can be more considered a "hard fatigue" on the player character that the boss doesn't experience because it's so massively powerful. Instead of placing a debuff on the character to show this, they increase the boss's power to match the type of situation you'd be in.

... That's all I got.

Well I really need to find a better gaming news site that doesn't have all these damn links to other sites run by the same company.

Currently using Kotaku....
Top 3 Articles of all the sites owned by Gawker? (I think that's it?)

1: Here's An Alleged Dad *** On What It's Like to *** Your Dad

2: This Interview With a Woman Dating Her Father Will Haunt You Forever

3: One Day We'll Be Too Lazy To Watch Football

2 of them are about the same damn thing and none of them have to do with video games.

EDIT: 2 and 3 switched places now. Apparently people are interested in the subject.

It's kind of like a Limit Break for the monster. We've infuriated them by surviving against them for so long. I just wish they weren't always one shots or impossible to win against in that state.

It's something that breaks down when closely analyzed, especially if you analyze the very poorly conveyed/executed enrages(lookin' at you, Destiny and FFXIV).

I kind of like Spath's idea of the Hard Fatigue, makes sense, Boss senses you are barely holding on or whatever, goes for the Coup d'grace.

Though, speaking of Enrages, I liked the enrage in Turn 10. The arena actually enrages, rather than the boss, due to the player characters triggering a security system or whatever.

The train of thought I used is why I've liked things like shiva's debuff mechanic for tank swapping. The tank is fatigued after guarding/taking hits for so long and needs time to rest(debuff falling off) before he can properly do it again. Then pairing that with Shiva's Dreams of Ice buff adds in the factor that after awhile a short rest isn't going to help you nearly as much/at all.

I like vulnerability stacks in terms of the realistic explanations as well as the fact it's a softer enrage that still technically has a hard enrage point. Turn 10s enrage is also enjoyable since it exploits the story and your arena rather than the monster itself.
