Just watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier, after watching The First Avenger (which was a disappointment at best), and I have to say, what an amazing movie.
I would watch it again, easily. Such a hyped rollercoaster, and I loved that everyone served a purpose, had a part, and had their own spotlight. The "team" had no weak parts, no filler characters. Everyone had very strong rolls.
The moment we started watching it we could feel a difference. It made the whole difference.
I notice that the directors changed, from Joe Johnston to Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, and that they're directing Captain America: Civil War. I so want to go see it in theaters now.... on May 6th 2016 ;-;.... D;
Also, Scarlett Johansson kicked so much butt! D;
Strongly agree with you Kalila. It's difficult to articulate, but something about The Winter Soldier made it stand above pretty much any other Marvel film I've seen including The Avengers. Perhaps it was the tone and pacing set along with the social commentary underlying that was prevalent, but not overwhelming, dubious or alienating. Every major character held strong and delivered with flying colors, and all while being an action packed
summer spring blockbuster kinda film. DEN OUTTA DEN, would watch again.
