Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

So, guys... Last night I took my girlfriend to the zoo to see the holiday light displays. At the very end of our trip I finally (in the words of our families, anyway) asked her to marry me.
Of course, I couldn't do it in a normal way. All day long she kept receiving these quest notifications as we would get to various places.
As she got home from having her nails done.
As we got ready to leave to meet my parents.
As we left for the zoo.
As we arrived.
... And right before I took out the ring to ask her.
(I realize that's not the exact way quests progress, but it was the only good way to get the point across.)
She had no idea what was going on, because we have left each other notes before, so she thought it was just a fun game I was playing. Even as she saw the "Reward" on the last one, it hadn't quite registered with her until she looked up at me and saw that I was holding the ring.
None of the pictures came out amazing since it was dark, but there's a kind of blurry one that gets her reaction, at least.

Well, finally got some money to get xmas gifts. Now it's just a matter of figuring out who gets their stuff on time and who has to wait an extra week or two :/
Doesn't help that some stuff is outright sold out.

I don't access my optical drives very often aside from when I go on a ripping-to-FLAC session. Besides, the define R series is designed with noise dampening in mind, so the front panel serves as a vibration reducing cushion. but you gotta: "feel the vibration"

Almost seems a shame to get my friend a GTX 760 when for a little more than a c-note I can get something that blows it out of the water entirely.

Dude, they'd be lucky if they got something worth the c-note, not to mention the 760, much less the something better.
When I want stuff like that, I have to buy it myself, hell I'm running a 660, and only because I wanted to upgrade the card in something else and it was cheaper to give them my 550ti and just upgrade my computer than to get them another 550ti.

Well plans and reality often conflict with each other so I don't have nearly as much as I was hoping I'd have to spend for xmas presents, but considering my friend is using a radeon 5 series, I think even a 750ti would be hell of an upgrade.

Ninja nerf roughly translated.
Shadow Fang and Aeolian Edge TP costs are being raised by 10 each.
Poison Buffs: +20% Damage -> +20% Physical Damage.

I can't remember if putting four dimms in your mobo screws up the advantages of dual channel memory benefits.
I know it'd put more stress on the memory controller but, I'm not really sure about these things anymore.

It "depends". lol
Mostly on the "architecture" you're playing with. (AMD vs Intel)
Simply that boils down to motherboard design. And that changes completely every two years so I am sure I'm mostly outdated on that subject so I won't comment anything.

Pro Tip: don't go cheap on your motherboard, and research your chipset well before you invest.
I know off the top of my head what my chipset provides to the mainboard and that there's an extra controller on it for more sata slots as the chipset maxes out at a lower number.
Z68, still supports regular pci, can use a ssd as cache for your normal hard disks, and has some decent virtualization technology.
1155 socket, I picked that because of it's wide use 2 years ago, and at times when it comes to parts, popular means deals.

For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
