The Super Nintendo Entertainment System underwent an evolution - it had a total of 10 different original designs, one of which (before the NA release of the Super Nintendo as we know and have a love/hate relationship with) was Model number 8's Super Famicom design.
Which is probably why they aren't shown together. if I had those kinds of spending habits I wouldn't have been able to survive this whole no job thing...

Technically, that gif should also be showing the Virtua Boy, which did make production, but had such a low selling rate. But all 10 models were functioning, some of which could play NES and SNES cartridges. Then again the US had 2 models of SNES (that I know of).
Hell the NES had a top loading model, which I have one of. |
