Well I applied to this job a few weeks back, drive 2+ hours for an interview, and got offered the job, just have to pass a background test, and hope my driving record won't disqualify me (it's not the best), in reality after an incident, neither one are perfect, so hopefully I get it, as I'll be really happy. The only real downside is that if I get it, I can't take a job with who I worked for before if one opens up, due to it's a customer of theirs, and technically it's who I'll be working with most of the time anyway.
Idk, maybe I could get permission from the company if I ever decide to leave, as if I leave this role it will probably be for a different type of position anyway. I want to start focusing on administering virtual environments, as I enjoy vms, but for now it's a simple desktop/printer support gig, mostly on the desktop install side, and filling out the paperwork.
