Nah, looks like the 280 is AMD's red-headed stepchild of driver updates and nearly ever review from retail I read involve either bad cooling or crazy artifacting. Think I'll stick to surfing for 770s. No way in hell I'd buy a used video card.

Previous owner could have been an idiot and let it run in a small case with default fan profiles, constantly overheating or getting to the throttle threshold. Then, there is the dust factor. How often did they clean their case? If at all? You could buy that card and it could go out within a month. Not worth. Also, eww ATI. You're right, there is inherent risk with buying used, but a deal is a deal. I simply have to determine if the cost reduction is of equal or greater value than the protection of having the ability to RMA; which even then can be a nightmarish process costing more money and offering a potential stalemate in finding a solution to a defective/broken card. Also yeah... I've always been on team green, and even now I have little to no reason to switch over. AMD drivers be damned. That made me take a check on my GPU... I have This..
newegg says it's 2GB My computer says 4GB. Much confusion. also I wouldn't touch a used card either, (and ATI ... no) Are you sure you're not mistaking VRAM with RAM? Your GPU only has 2 GB and that's all you're gonna get; even in SLI.

That total memory is the combination of your video cards dedicated memory and the shared memory from your RAM. Your RAM gives part of itself to your graphics card to aide in the rendering of images. Hence why it says Aprox. Total Memory. Your card only has 2gb of dedicated memory, and the rest is borrowed from your RAM.
