The best way, as far as I'm concerned, is to cut down on, or eliminate unnecessary amounts of bread and grains, other than rice (specifically brown rice).
Eat 3 midsize meals, and 2 smallers meals + healthy snacks (fruit in the morning, veggies in the afternoon) that help with fibre and antioxidants like Strawberries, blueberries, kiwi fruit, and bananas.
The body also takes it's primary source of energy from protein.
