I wear between a size 16 and 18, depending on which chart the shoe company I buy from uses.
I have to go between 4-8 years without new shoes because 1. They get too damned expensive to buy every 3-4 months (like you're supposed to), and 2. Custom orders are non-refundable with the majority of companies, and are even more expensive.
I'm just lucky my work boots (all I can wear now, as shoes are too light and wear out too fast) which suits me just fine.
Had foot surgery when I was 5 and have...I'm not sure how to say it, I have arthritic fits, I guess? Not full-time pain, just when I'm on them very long. That surgery and the way my feet are are why I like the shoes and boots I do, they are very light weight. At work, I can't really walk in mud, mud caking to the soles of my boots weigh my feet down and throw me off balance. The scars are VERY sensitive, first time my dad ever heard me say "***" was when he dropped a light-duty extension cord on my foot, which had nothing plugged into it. I went to the ground. :(
All black contractor boots, been wearing the same style since college. Although the Brahama brand has lasted me by far the longest. The other day though the shoelaces went, so I found some rope from an old curtain rod and got some wire cutters and they took the place nicely lol. Little weird with light beige shoelaces on black boots, but it does the trick.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
