Maybe something is triggering the stress? Something like money troubles, school, grades, friends, work, stuff like that can sit in the back of your head, and cause you to stay awake.
I sometimes wake up because of that, and while I worry about my schoolwork I can't get enough sleep.
My advice is, if you have time during your day, do something really fun and exciting to help get your mind off of it. It'll not only help relax your mind, but also help your body get prepared later for rest.
For instance: I recently took up taking bike rides across town, and ever since my mind has been feeling more refreshed, my body feels more tired in the evenings so I can get to bed easier, and ALSO I stay active.
I learned long ago, that they should have nuked MTV.
Mtv was amazing, I watched it all day. Back when it aired music videos and anime...
I must have missed the part when it aired anime, as I never saw it on there. Most of the people I knew who watched MTV would freak if they ever saw it.

I already mentioned the primary cause of my stress. The pain I deal with every day, from a previously existing back injury. It's permanent nerve damage at this point, and there's nothing short of specialized surgery to correct it, and even that's a gamble.
I don't know about us broadcast, here there was the anime night on tuesdays. Either way even without that it was a great channel, now there's not even the remnant of the music part of music television.
I'm talking about 7-8 years ago..music has disappeared slowly over time to give space to realities(I think Ozzy was the first, then it spiraled down..)
I stayed up until ~6:30 and got up again at 9, I don't want to hear about it being "too early."
I do this kind of thing on a daily basis, and suffer from chronic insomnia due to stress and pain from a permanent damage back injury.
Ever try going to sleep, only to constantly be kept awake at night or getting up at 4:30Am for 9 years?
you don't have any prescribed pain medication you can rely on for a good night's sleep?
I tried sleep aids and prescription sleep aids. But those only work when the mind and body can relax.
you've never just gone to a doctor and gotten Tylenol 3 with codeine or something stronger for pain? Not just sleep aids or drowsy side effect medications
and if your mind can't slow down, ever try counselling?
T3's worked for a while, maybe 5 months.
I've tried counseling, reading books, exercising, as well as changing my diet, but nothing has worked to relieve the stress of the pain, or the inability to rest.
While there are other options, none of them are covered, and have minimal effective difference when it comes to pain caused by nerve damage, which is why the T3 with Codeine stopped working.
Everything recommended so far has been tried.
Hell, my body rejected the strongest legal dose of epilepsy medication that can be given to an adult, when I was still 12-13 years old.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
